NORTH CAROLINA 1.11-111. 1 I'll, _1*111 Friday, March 22nd, 1985 The special meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened on Friday, March 22nd, 1985, at 4:00 o'clock p. m. , in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, in accordance with the notice issued at the direction of the Chairman. Those present were Commissioners Raymond C. Cox, Jr., John R. Dossenbach, Jr., John E. Dotterer and Bertha L. Matthews. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond was absent when the meeting opened. Chairman John E. Dotterer declared that a quorum was present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. Commissioner John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was transacted. Ms. Mary Hawley Oakes and Mr. Roy Swann were appointed as members of the Lee County Youth Commission, upon motion of Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews, which motion was duly seconded by Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , and unanimously adopted upon a vote. Mr. Charles Ingram was appointed a member of the Parks and Recreation Commission, upon motion of Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , which motion was duly seconded by Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews and unanimously adopted upon a vote. The County Manager presented a'Budget Amendment entitled "Appropriation Adjustment #3/22/85/14", a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. The County Manager reviewed the amendment and its effect, following which Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , moved the adoption of the Budget Amendment. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. , seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the County Planning Board be asked to consider and draft an Ordinance relating to bill- boards and junk yards in Lee County, to be presented to the Board for its consideration. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. seconded the motion.
