010 <br />• Tax Releases and Refunds for November 2011 (copy attached), <br />• Awarded consultant grant application services for FY 2011 Scattered Site Project to <br />The Wooten Company, <br />• Awarded bid for roof replacement project at the Enrichment Center to Progressive <br />Contracting, Inc., Sanford, in the amount of $51,465.00 (bid sheet attached), <br />• Approved amended Lease Agreement for installation and support of Compellent <br />Storage Area Network upgrades for the IT Department (copy attached), and <br />• Appointed Ms. Rhi Anna Stephens to the Lee County Juveniletrime Prevention <br />Council to fill the vacant Mental Health representative position,/ <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously <br />Commissioner Womack asked that in the future a <br />in excess of $10,000 for Board of Commissioner approval. <br />provided for bids submitted <br />The Board considered a Memorandum of Understanding betweenjthe City of Sanford and Lee <br />County Concerning Access to the Back -Up Public Safety AnsweringjPoint. County Manager John <br />Crumpton stated that as part of the renovations'in,the basement of the Lee County Courthouse, the <br />County is building a back -up 911 system along with the.,secondary PSAP (Public Safety Answering <br />Point) that the Sheriff's Department operates. The C ti y/of-�Sanford operates the primary PSAP for the <br />County and therefore will be the operator of the-\back -up 91o1'system should it need to be activated. <br />The State 911 Board has asked that all back -up PSAP's be certified. In order for the State to consider <br />our back -up system for certification, the County needs to have a Memorandum of Understanding <br />(MOU) with the City. The MOU - gives the 911 Board�a clear indication that the City and County are <br />cooperatively working on this - project. After discussion, Commissioner Parks moved to approve the <br />Memorandum of Unde�tan`ding between the City of Sanford and Lee County Concerning Access to the <br />Back -Up Public Safety Answering Point,_a_ copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this <br />reference made a part hereof. Upon a the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham4Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack <br />Nays None V <br />the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />At this time, the Board recognized County Attorney Kenneth R. Hoyle, Sr. who will be retiring on <br />Decembers31;2011. Mr. Hoyle began employment with the County in January 1992 as the full -time <br />Attorney for the Lee Board of Commissioners. Mr. Hoyle plans to return to work on a part-time <br />basis in Februar 2012 as County Attorney Emeritus. Commissioner Reives moved to approve a <br />Resolution Honoring Mr. Hoyle's Retirement, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this <br />reference made a part hereof. Chairman Shook read and presented Mr. Hoyle with the Resolution. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Hayes, Oldham, Parks, Paschal, Reives, Shook, and Womack <br />Nay: None <br />
