resolution be amended to set the sale date as August 24, 1985. Comm- issioner Jerry M. -Almond moved that the resolution authorizing the sale of the surplus property adopted by this Board at its meeting on July 8, 1985, be amended by deleting the sales date of August 10, 1945, and insert in lieu thereof, August(24, 1985. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. The Vice Chairman called up for consideration, Budget Amendment No. 8/5/85/01, and asked the County Manager to review and explain the changes, brought about by such amendment. A copy of the Budget Amendment is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Following the County Manager's explanation, Comm- issioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. moved that the Budget Amendment be approved and adopted. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote, Commissioners Almond, Cox, Matthews and Dossenbach voted for it and no one voted against it. The County Manager presented for consideration by the Board, a Budget Ordinance which established a County Office Con- struction Fund, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the Budget Ordinance be approved and adopted. Commiss- ioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond nominated Caroline R. Kinnamon to be a member of the Lee County Commission On Youth to fill the existing vacancy on said Commission. There-being no further nomi- nations, Mrs. Kinnamon was elected as the Board's appointee by'accla- mation and was unanimously appointed to said Commission. The Board then reviewed the informal reports received. A copy of the Resolution of the Lee County Board of Education, adopted July 16, 1985, requesting the Commissioners to raise $10, 000, 000. 00 for school purposes and to submit the question of issuing bonds to accomplish such financing to the voters of Lee County, was presented to the Board, and a copy attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof.
