b w. ft vnC: 835 D MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS V FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA Monday, August 19, 1985 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 7:00 o'clock p.m., in the Comm- issioners Room on the second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, on Monday, August 19, 1985. Those present were Commissioners Jerry M. Almond, Raymond C. Cox, Jr., John R. Doss- enbach, Jr. , John E. Dotterer and Bertha L. Matthews. Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was transacted: The invocation was given by County Manger Walter.B. Hartman, Jr. The draft of the minutes of the regular meeting held on August 5, 1985,, were considered and upon motion of Commissioner Jerry M. Almond, second- ed by Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., the Board unanimously adopted them as the official minutes of.said meeting and ordered them recorded. The Chairman then recognized and presented certificates of apprecia- tion to the following persons: Mr. Phil Allen, Ms. Jean Georgiou, Mrs. Isabel Lawrence, Mr. William McNeill, Mr. Earl Sloan, Jr., Mr. W. M. Womble, Sr. Certificates of appreciation will also be delivered to the following persons: Mrs. Faye Coats, Mr. L. F. Meador, Mr. David Overton, Mr. Frank Pruette, Mr. David Riddle, Dr. J. S. Simmons, Dr. Lynn Smith, Ms. Wanda G. Webb, Mr. Sam Winston, Ms. Helen Dusenbury, Mr. Doug Johnson, Mrs. Edith Makepeace, Ms. Jackie Pearce, Ms. Irene White and Ms. Sandra Wilson.
