seo.; 11 mcE 843 <br />The Vice Chairman recognized representatives from the firm of O'Brien/ <br />Atkins Associates, P.A., Architects, who appeared before the Board and pre- <br />sented a report on the facilities owned by Lee County and a space program for <br />Lee County offices. The members of the staff were introduced to the Board and <br />reports reviewed, following which the firm presented a proposal to amend the <br />present design agreement to include a Schematic Design Study for the stipulated fee <br />of $31, 800. 00. A proposed amendment to accomplish such was presented to the <br />Board, a copy of which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a <br />part hereof. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. moved that the agreement be <br />amended to provide for the Schematic Design Study for the fee of $31, 800.00 and <br />that the Chairman be authorized and directed to execute the amendment to accom- <br />plish same. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote, Commissioners Almond, Cox, Dossenbach and Matthews voted for it and <br />no one voted against it. <br />The Clerk of the Board of Commissioners reported to the Board of Comm- <br />issioners that the bond order entitled "Bond Order Authorizing The Issuance of <br />$10, 000, 000 School Bonds Of The County Of Lee", which has been introduced on <br />August 19, 1985, had been published in a qualified newspaper on August 23, 1985, witt <br />notice that the Board would hold a public hearing thereon on September 3, 1985. The <br />Clerk also reported that the County's Finance Officer had filed in his office a state- <br />ment of debt complying with the provisions of The Local Government Bond Act and <br />such statement as filed showed the net indebtedness of the County to be 1. 61867o of <br />the appraised valuation of property in said County subject to taxation. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the Board of Comm- <br />issioners proceed to hold a public hearing on the school bond order. The <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr, and was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />
