Budget Ordinance, Fiscal Year 2019-20 <br /> Lee County, North Carolina <br /> June 17, 2019 <br /> Page 7 <br /> SECTION 20. The County Manager and the Clerk to the Board are hereby <br /> authorized to execute the necessary agreements within funds included in the Budget <br /> Ordinance for the following purposes: <br /> (A) Form grant agreements to public and non-profit organizations; <br /> (B) Leases of normal and routine business equipment where the annual rental <br /> of each is not more than $20,000; consultant, professional or maintenance service <br /> agreements where the annual compensation is not more than $20,000; <br /> (C) Purchase of apparatus, supplies, materials, or equipment where the <br /> purchase price does not exceed $20,000; <br /> (D) Agreements for acceptance of State, Federal, public, and non-profit <br /> organization grant funds, and funds from other governmental units for services to be <br /> rendered; <br /> (E) Construction or repair work where the amount does not exceed $20,000; <br /> (F) Liability, health, disability, casualty, property or other insurance or retention <br /> and faithful performance bonds (other than for the Sheriff and Register of Deeds). <br /> SECTION 21. The following schedules of fees and charges are incorporated as <br /> part of this ordinance and are hereby adopted: <br /> (A) Building Construction/Planning and Development Fee Schedules <br /> (B) 2019-2020 County of Lee Schedules of Fees & Charges <br /> SECTION 22. The Current Expense for the Lee County School System <br /> includes $1,050,000 in new funding that must first be used to cover the operational costs <br /> related to the new W.B. Wicker School. Once the operational costs associated with W. B. <br /> Wicker School have been covered any remaining funds may be applied to the other budget <br /> priorities identified by the Lee County Board of Education. <br /> SECTION 23.
