SWIMMING POOL RULES AND REGULATIONS <br /> 1. Talking or visiting with the lifeguards while they are on duty is not permitted. <br /> 2. Running in the enclosed pool area is not permitted. <br /> 3. Smoking,eating,and drinking are permitted only in designated areas. <br /> 4. Chewing gum is not allowed. <br /> 5. Alcoholic beverages or persons under the influence will not be allowed in the pool area. <br /> 6. Glass containers are not allowed in the pool area. <br /> 7. Pets are not allowed in the enclosed pool area. <br /> 8. Trash must be put in the proper receptacles. <br /> 9. Pool must be cleared during electrical storms. <br /> 10. Only employees are allowed in the guard and filter rooms. <br /> 11. Children eight(8)years of age and younger must be accompanied by someone sixteen(16)years of <br /> age or older in the wading pool or any other pool. Ratio: One(1)adult to every six(6)children. <br /> 12. The competitive starting blocks are only for swim team use. The public may not stand,sit,or dive or <br /> use competitive starting blocks. Also,handling,sitting or otherwise interfering with the floatation <br /> devices is not permitted. <br /> 13. Masks,fins,snorkels,floatation devices,or other paraphernalia are not permitted in the pool area <br /> during public swim. (Exception: ear plugs and nose clips) <br /> 14. Spitting or spouting of water is not allowed in the pool. <br /> 15. Horseplay of any kind or obscene language is not allowed in the pool area. <br /> 16. Street shoes are not allowed in the pool area. <br /> 17. Telephone use is limited to pool staff and other persons as deemed necessary by the pool <br /> manager or assistant manager. At no time may the pool phone be used for non-business oriented <br /> calls. <br /> 18. Persons having open wounds,sores,or skin infections will not be permitted in the pool. <br /> 19. The pool staff and the Lee County Parks and Recreation Department will not be held responsible <br /> for the loss or theft of any personal belongings. <br /> 20. Lifeguards must be in their assigned tower before any patron is allowed on the deck or in the pool. <br /> 25 <br />
