acL,s it my 858 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, September 16, 1985 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of <br />Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 7:00 o'clock p. m., on Monday, <br />September 16, 1985, in the Commissioners Room in the County Office Building, <br />200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present were Commiss- <br />ioners Jerry M. Almond, Raymond C. Cox, Jr., John R. Dossenbach, Jr., <br />John E. Dotterer and Bertha L. Matthews. <br />The Chairman, John E. Dotterer, presided and the following business <br />was transacted: <br />r <br />The invocation was given by Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. <br />The draft of the minutes of the regular meeting held on September 3rd, <br />1985, were considered and upon motion of Commissioner Jerry M. Almond, <br />seconded by Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews, the Board unanimously adopted <br />them as the official minutes of said meeting and ordered them recorded. <br />The Chairman recognized representatives from the firm of Richard <br />Garrity & Associates, to present the Transportation Development Plan. Follow- <br />ing the explanation of the Transportation Plan, Commissioner Jerry M. Almond <br />moved that the Plan be endorsed. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded <br />the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the appropriate County <br />officials be instructed to file an application for grants for a small bus and a cut- <br />away truck. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , moved that a Transportation <br />Co-ordinating Committee be established as as on-going committee of the County <br />and that the Chairman be authorized to appoint the members. Commissioner <br />Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />
