aooM 91 ray. 693 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, December 2, 1985 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of <br />Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 9:30 o'clock a.m., on Monday, Dec- <br />ember 2, 1985, in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County <br />Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present <br />were Commissioners Jerry M. Almond; Raymond C. Cox, Jr.; John R. <br />Dossenbach, Jr. ; John'E. Dotterer; and Bertha L. Matthews. Chairman John <br />E. Dotterer declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction <br />of business. <br />Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />The invocation was given by County Manager, Walter B. Hartman, Jr. <br />The Chairman noted it was the first Monday in December and the Board <br />was to choose a Chairman and Vice-Chairman for the ensuing year. In accord- <br />ance with the custom of previous boards, the Clerk conducted an election and <br />the votes were as follows: <br />Commissioner Voted For <br />Almond <br />Dotterer <br />Cox' - <br />Dotterer <br />Dossenbach <br />Dotterer <br />Dotterer <br />Dotterer <br />Matthews <br />Dotterer <br />The Clerk announced that Commissioner Dotterer had been re-elected <br />as Chairman. Chairman Dotterer assumed the Chair and expressed his apprec- <br />iation as being elected Chairman. The Chairman directed the Clerk to distribute <br />ballots for the position of Vice Chairman. After the ballots had been cast, they <br />were tallied with the following results: <br />
