NnK . 11 P s 917 <br />EJ <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />J <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, February 17, 1986 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of <br />Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 7:00 o'clock p, m., on Monday, <br />February 17, 1986, in the Commissioners' Room on the second floor of the <br />County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, Those <br />present were Commissioners Jerry M. Almond; Raymond C. Cox, Jr. ; <br />John R. Dossenbach, Jr. ; John E. Dotterer; and Bertha L. Matthews, Chair- <br />man John E. Dotterer declared that a quorum was present and the meeting <br />open for the transaction of business, <br />Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />The invocation was given by Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. <br />The draft of the minutes of the regular meeting held on Monday, February <br />3, 1986, were considered and upon motion,of Commissioner Jerry M. Almond, <br />seconded by Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews, which motion was unanimously <br />adopted upon a vote, approved and ordered recorded as the official minutes of said <br />meeting. <br />The Chairman presented for consideration by the Board, petitions asking <br />that Secondary Road No, 1215 (Hunter Road) and Secondary Road No. 1161 (Smith <br />Road) be paved. The Board discussed the petitions and then Commissioner <br />Bertha L. Matthews moved that the standard resolution approving the requested <br />improvement, copies of which are attached hereto and by this reference made a <br />part hereof, be adopted, Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion <br />and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted, <br />Mr. Frank Dilworth appeared before the Board on behalf of the Inter- <br />Agency Council on Youth and presented the recommendations of that council <br />to the Board, recommending the establishment of a group home for the place- <br />ment of children.
