Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews second- <br />ed the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The Board next considered the draft of a proclamation declaring <br />the week of April 13th through the 19th, as Building Safety Week. A copy of the <br />proposed proclamation is attached hereto. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews <br />moved that the proclamation be approved and the Chairman and the Clerk be <br />authorized to execute same for and on behalf of the County. Commissioner <br />John R. Dossenbach, Jr. seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />The Board expressed the opinion that it saw no objection to <br />seis mological tests to be made in the Industrial Park, provided the parties <br />conducting the tests provided the County with proof of liability insurance to <br />protect the County for such activities. <br />Chairman John E. Dotterer announced that he would like to <br />appoint the following committees and that such committee monitor County <br />activities in these areas of interest, namely: <br />Public Works Committee, composed of John R. Dossenbach, <br />Jr. and Jerry M. Almond <br />Human Resources Committee, composed of Bertha L. <br />Matthews and John R. Dossenbach, Jr. <br />General Government Committee, composed of Raymond C. <br />Cox, Jr, and Bertha L. Matthews. <br />Finance Committee, composed of Jerry M. Almond and <br />Raymond C. Cox, Jr. <br />The Board set April 19th, 1986, as the date when they would <br />conduct a seminar with a Professor from UNC-G, concerning management in <br />Governmental Affairs. <br />There being no further business to come before the session, <br />it was adjourned sine die. <br />0 CHAIRMAN <br />CLERK <br />
