R' 925 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA Monday, March 10, 1986 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 9:30 o'clock a.m., on Monday, March 10, 1986, in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present were Commissioners Jerry M. Almond, John R. Dossenbach, Jr., John E. Dotterer and Bertha L. Matthews. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. was absent due to illness. Chairman John E. Dotterer declared a quorum present °pd the meeting open for the transaction of business. Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was transacted: The invocation was given by the County Attorney, K. R. Hoyle. The draft of the minutes of the regular meeting held on Monday, February 17, 1986, were considered and upon motion of Commissioner Jerry M. Almond, seconded by Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., which motion was unani- mously adopted upon a vote, were approved and ordered recorded as the official minutes of said meeting. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that the County lease the space from Southern National Bank for the exclusive use of Central Carolina Techhical College at the rate of $325. 00 per month, to begin either March 1st or April 1st, as the County Manager determines would be most expediate. Comm- issioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Miss Ann Carter appeared before the Board on behalf of the Triangle Land Conservancy and requested the Board to consider endorsing that agency's efforts to preserve a White Pines Natural Area on Jordan Lake.
