I' <br />.nK 11 .c: 934 <br />The Board next considered Budget Amendment Numbers 03/20/86/14-17. <br />The County Manager reviewed the purpose of each of these budget amendments, <br />following which Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the budget amend- <br />ments, copies of which are attached hereto and by this reference made a part <br />hereof, be approved and adopted. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Jerry M. Almond reviewed the report of the Finance <br />Committee. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., reviewed the report of the Public <br />Works Committee. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that the Resolution entitled <br />"Resolution Authorizing The Advertisement Of An Offer To Purchase Certain <br />Property", a copy of which is attached hereto and by this reference made a part <br />hereof, be adopted. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The report of the Human Resources Committee was reviewed by Commiss- <br />ioner Bertha L. Matthews. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the Proclamation entitled <br />"The Year of the Volunteer in Lee County", a copy of which is attached hereto <br />and by this reference made a part hereof, be adopted. Commissioner John R. <br />Dossenbach, Jr. seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews, which motion was duly <br />seconded by Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., and unanimously adopted, <br />it was resolved to write letters of congratulations to winners of the various cate- <br />gories in the recent Jaycee Awards Banquet and letter of congratulations to Mr. <br />Charles M. Reeves, Jr., on having the school of business at Methodist College in <br />Fayetteville named after him. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews, which motion was duly <br />seconded by Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , and unanimously adopted <br />upon a vote, it was resolved to recognize Chris Roberts for the rescue of his <br />sister from his burning home recently and to present him with a resolution of <br />congratulations. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews reviewed the minutes of the meeting <br />of the General Government Committee. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews, which motion was duly <br />seconded by Commissioner Jerry M. Almond, and unanimously adopted upon a vote, <br />it was resolved to accept the new grant agreement for the new Airport Taxiway <br />
