945 <br />Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. moved that if the Planning Board <br />concurs, that subdivision fees be eliminated. Commissioner Bertha L. <br />Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. moved and Commissioner Jerry <br />M. Almond seconded, that the charge per day for housing prisioners where <br />the fee is not established by State law, be set at $25. 00 per day. The motion <br />was unanimously adopted upon a vote. <br />Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. called on the County Manager to <br />discuss the proposed changes in the health insurance coverage. Mr. Hartman <br />advised the Board that the recommendations were that the Health Plan be <br />amended to provide a pre-existing condition clause which would eliminate from <br />coverage, claims within the first twelve months of coverage attributable to con- <br />ditions which were in effect when coverage was established. Secondly, it would <br />require a pre-admission certification prior to hospitalization. After discussion, <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that the County's health insurance <br />coverage be amended to include the pre-existing clause and the pre-admission <br />certification. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon <br />a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews reviewed the minutes of the General <br />Government Committee which met on April 3, 1986. The Committee had reco- <br />mmended that the County advertise for bids for a computer for a proposed up- <br />grade for service. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the County <br />proceed to take bids for a computer suitable and adequate for the County's <br />current needs. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr, seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />It appeared to the Board that Mr. Tripp May had resigned from the <br />Lee County Youth Commission. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that <br />Judge William Christian be appointed to the Youth Commission to fill the unexpired <br />term of Mr. May. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr, seconded the motion <br />and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The Board next conducted a tour of the County's Landfill property and <br />the area served by the County's water lines.
