~l1 ~n c 948 <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., which motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews, and unanimously adopted upon <br />a vote, it was resolved to authorize the transfer of the office of the Soil and <br />Water Conservation District from the Federal Building on Carthage Street to <br />the County Agriculture Building on Steele Street, <br />Commissioner Jerry M. Almond reviewed the activities of the Finance <br />Committee at its meeting on Friday, April 18, 1986. In accordance with the <br />recommendations of the Finance Committee, Commissioner Jerry M. Almond <br />moved the adoption of the resolution entitled "The Supplemental Retirement <br />Income Plan of North Carolina Resolution", a copy of which is attached to these <br />minutes and by this reference made a part hereof, Commissioner Raymond C. <br />Cox, Jr, seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The Release Report and the Refund Request as approved and submitted <br />to the Board by the Tax Supervisor, were next considered. In accordance with <br />the recommendations of the Finance Committee, Commissioner Jerry M. <br />Almond moved that the Release Report and Refund Request, copies of which are <br />attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof, be approved <br />and authorized. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr, seconded the motion <br />and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted, <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr, reviewed the activities of the <br />Public Works Committee which met on Thursday, April 10, 1986, <br />Commissioner Dossenbach and County Manager Hartman reviewed the <br />necessity for and the work done which prompted Change Orders Nos, 9 and 10 <br />with respect to the County's Water System. In accordance with the Public Works <br />Commission recommendations, Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr, moved <br />that Change Order 9 and Change Order 10, copies of which are attached hereto <br />and by this reference made a part hereof, be approved and that thez.appropriate <br />County Officials be authorized to sign the Change Orders for and on behalf of the <br />County. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. reviewed the activities of the <br />Water Committee which met on Thursday, April 10, 1986. <br />The Board next reviewed the Departmental Reports submitted to them <br />with their agenda for the meeting, <br />County Manager, Hartman, reported that the bids had been received to <br />upgrade the County's computer and reported on the bids and how the system <br />would be modified. It was decided to submit this material to the Finance <br />Committee for its consideration prior to taking Board action. <br />
