9Ur~" 846 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />J THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, April 21, 1986 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of <br />Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at7:00 o'clock p.m., on Monday, <br />April 21, 1986, in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County <br />Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present <br />were Commissioners Jerry M: Almond, Raymond C. Cox, Jr., John R. <br />Dossenbach, Jr., John E. Uotterer, and Bertha L. Matthews. Chairman <br />John E. Dotterer declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the <br />transaction of business. <br />The invocation was given by K. R. Hoyle, the County Attorney. <br />The draft of the minutes of the regular meeting held on April 7, 1986, <br />were considered. Upon motion of Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. , seconded <br />by Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews, which motion was unanimously adopted <br />upon a vote, it was resolved to approve the draft as the official minutes of said <br />meeting and that they be recorded. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews and Commissioner John R. <br />Dossenbach, Jr., escorted Ronald Christopher Roberts from the audience to <br />appear before the Board, following which the Chairman read the resolution <br />adopted by the Board at its meeting on April 7, 1986, in which they recognized <br />his act of bravery in saving his sister from harm and presented him with a <br />framed and signed copy of the resolution. <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot, County Planner, appeared before the Board <br />and reported that the Carolina Trace Corporation had requested a twelve <br />months extension on the Letter of Credit that they had posted to insure con- <br />struction of improvements in approved subdivisions. Commissioner John R. <br />Dossenbach, Jr. moved that the Carolina Trace Corporation be given a twelve <br />month extension upon posting a $400, 000 Letter of Credit to insure construction <br />of improvements in Woodfield, Lakewood, Highland Woods, Woodmere I, <br />Woodmere H, Trentwood, Sedgemoor I, and Sedgemoor II, Subdivision Sections. <br />Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unani- <br />mously adopted. <br />
