eoor; 11 ml 956 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF J THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA Monday, May 5, 1986 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 1986, in the Commissioners Room on the second floor of the County Office Building,- 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present were Commis- sioners Jerry M. Almond, Raymond C. Cox, Jr., John R. Dossenbach, Jr., John E. Dotterer, and Bertha L. Matthews. Chairman John E. Dotterer declared a.quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. The invocation was given by Commissioner Jerry M. Almond. The draft of the minutes of the regular meeting held on April 21, 1986, were considered. Upon motion of Commissioner Jerry M. Almond, seconded by Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., which motion was unanimously adopted upon a vote,-it was resolved to approve the draft as the official minutes of said meeting and that they be recorded. - The Chairman opened the public hearing on the 1986 Community - Development Grant Application. There- being no comments from the audience, the Chairman declared the public hearing closed. Mr. Elwin Buchanan, Grants Administration-, introduced Mr. Skip Green, Consultant, who brieflyreviewed this years applicationfor a Small Cities Grant. Upon motion of Commis- sioner Jerry M. Almond, seconded by Commissioner John R. Dossebach, Jr., it was unanimously approved' that the -1986 Community Development Application be filed- with the Depart- ment of Natural Resources and Community Development. ..The Board next convened as the Board of Equalization and Review with Mrs. Lucille York, Clerk of Court, administering oaths to the Board. After some discussion, Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., moved that the Board of Equalization and Review be closed and to reconvene as the Board - of Commissioners seconded by Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., which motion was unanimously adopted.
