Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., moved that officials attending <br />the annual meeting of National Convention of County Officials for 1986 be <br />authorized three days travel time both going to and returning from said meeting. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote it was <br />unanimously adopted. <br />Representatives of the firm of O'Brien/Atkins, Architects, appeared <br />before the Board and reviewed the status of the County's biuilding program. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews reported on the meeting of the Human <br />Resources Committee held on May 14, 1986. In keeping with the recommendations <br />of that Committee, Commissioner Matthews moved that the Nursing Home Advisory <br />Committee and the Domiciliary Advisory Committee be merged into one committee <br />comprised of five (5) members, effective on July 1st, 1986. Commissioner John <br />R. Dossenbach, Jr. , seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />The Board next considered the recommendations of the Public Works <br />Committee as presented by Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved that the preliminary plat of Pine <br />Knoll Subdivision, Section F, and the final plats of Crane Creek Subdivision, <br />B. M. Kelly Subdivision, and Woodbridge Point Subdivision be approved. Comm- <br />issioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was <br />unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved that the County accept the offer of <br />the Department of Transportation of the State of North Carolina to purchase <br />a small strip of land consisting of 1, 799 square feet and a construction ease- <br />ment consisting of 3, 700 square feet on the Arts Center property adjacent to <br />the present right of way of Horner Boulevard in Sanford, for the sum of <br />$2, 770. 00. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach moved the adoption of the following resolution: <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the County <br />of Lee, desires to dispose of certain surplus property of the <br />County; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD <br />OF COMMISSIONERS THAT: <br />
