Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., moved that officials attending the annual meeting of National Convention of County Officials for 1986 be authorized three days travel time both going to and returning from said meeting. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Representatives of the firm of O'Brien/Atkins, Architects, appeared before the Board and reviewed the status of the County's biuilding program. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews reported on the meeting of the Human Resources Committee held on May 14, 1986. In keeping with the recommendations of that Committee, Commissioner Matthews moved that the Nursing Home Advisory Committee and the Domiciliary Advisory Committee be merged into one committee comprised of five (5) members, effective on July 1st, 1986. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. The Board next considered the recommendations of the Public Works Committee as presented by Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. Commissioner Dossenbach moved that the preliminary plat of Pine Knoll Subdivision, Section F, and the final plats of Crane Creek Subdivision, B. M. Kelly Subdivision, and Woodbridge Point Subdivision be approved. Comm- issioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. Commissioner Dossenbach moved that the County accept the offer of the Department of Transportation of the State of North Carolina to purchase a small strip of land consisting of 1, 799 square feet and a construction ease- ment consisting of 3, 700 square feet on the Arts Center property adjacent to the present right of way of Horner Boulevard in Sanford, for the sum of $2, 770. 00. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. Commissioner Dossenbach moved the adoption of the following resolution: WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of the County of Lee, desires to dispose of certain surplus property of the County; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS THAT:
