REGULAR MEETING <br />OF THE <br />LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />106 HILLCREST DRIVE <br />SANFORD, NORTH CAROLINA 27330 <br />May 20, 2019 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of <br />North Carolina, convened at 6:00 P.M. in the Commissioners Room, First Floor, Lee County <br />Government Center, 106 Hillcrest Drive, Sanford, North Carolina, on said date. Commissioners <br />present when the meeting was called to order were Amy M. Dalrymple, Arianna Del Palazzo, <br />Robert T. Reives, Cameron W. Sharpe, and Kirk D. Smith. Staff in attendance included County <br />Manager John Crumpton and County Attorney Whitney Parrish. <br />Commissioner Dalrymple called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m. and the following <br />business was transacted: <br />Commissioner Dalrymple requested a moment of silence and the Pledge of Allegiance <br />was recited. <br />Commissioner Knecht joined the meeting at 6:04 p.m. <br />1. APPROVAL OF ADDITIONAL AGENDA <br />Commissioner Dalrymple removed item C under New Business to the next Board meeting, <br />added to Consent an item J (increase labor costs to the hallway fourth floor project), and added <br />under New Business an item I (a Resolution Honoring Mary Yow), then Commissioner Smith <br />asked to move the Resolution Honoring Mary Yow to the first item of business under New <br />Business. Commissioner Sharpe made a motion to approve the agenda as amended. <br />Upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />Aye: Dalrymple, Del Palazzo, Knecht, Reives, Sharpe, Smith <br />Nay: None <br />Absent: Dodson <br />The Chair ruled the motion had carried unanimously. <br />11. APPROVAL OF CONSENT AGENDA <br />The Board considered changes to the Consent Agenda. County Attorney Whitney <br />Parrish requested that the Minutes from the May 6, 2019 Regular Meeting include a change on <br />page 9 that the date of Mary Yow's retirement now read May 31, 2019. With no further changes <br />requested, Commissioner Sharpe moved to approve the Consent Agenda as amended, which <br />consisted of the following items: <br />f..tp, 1 7 <br />
