ann+ 12, 40 <br />County of Lee <br />North Carolina <br />The Lee County Board of commissioners met on August 11, 1986 in <br />regular meeting and adopted the following resolution: <br />WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Transportation has received <br />an allocation of $161,735 in Secondary Construction Funds <br />for Lee County for the forthcoming construction season and a <br />public hearing was held on August 11, 1986 in the Lee County <br />office (Wilrik) Building concerning the expenditure of said <br />funds: <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed to retain approximately 15% of the total al- <br />location or $24,260 for small projects that may come up <br />during the year such as road additions, property owner par- <br />ticipation projects, volunteer fire departments and rescue <br />squad drives, project overruns, drainage, etc. <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed to utilize approximately 208 or $32,350 for <br />Paved Secondary Road Improvement Projects as follows: <br />1. Widen SR 1133, two feet each side, from Sanford City <br />Limits to SR 1146 excluding previous improvement at <br />Lochmere. <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed to utilize approximately 15% or $24,260 in <br />spot stabilization on any or all unpaved roads in the county <br />to include SR 1463, SR 1314, SR 1500, SR 1391, SR 1323, <br />SR 1307, SR 1308, SR 1147, and others as determined by need. <br />WHEREAS, it is proposed to utilize approximately $80,865 to pave <br />down the priority list as far as possible under funding and <br />right of way constraints. Initial paving projects antici- <br />pated: <br />1. Priority No. 1 - SR 1164 - Right of Way refused during <br />1985-86. No action recommended. <br />2. Priority No. 2 - SR 1186 - Right of Way problems. Set <br />up $500 to try right of way. $500.00. <br />3. Priority No. 3 - SR 1189 from SR 1184 to deadend - 0.50 <br />mile. Survey, right of way signatures, drain, base, <br />pave, and erosion control. Funding - $40,000.00. <br />4. Priority No. 4 - SR 1161 from SR 1156 to deadend - 0.70 <br />mile. Drain, base, pave, and erosion control. Initial <br />Funding - $40,365.00. <br />5. Then proceed with funding of paving on down the priority <br />list as funds and right of way become available. <br />BE IT RESOLVED THAT, the Division of Highways of the Department of <br />Transportation proceed with these projects as far as the <br />Secondary Road Allocations for Fiscal Year 1986-87 will <br />allow. <br />
