12 ?mF 46 <br />A report was made to the Board of a meeting of the Corps of Engineers <br />pertaining to their study of the flood plain of Buffalo Creek, <br />Members of the Board were reminded that they were invited to participate <br />in the opening of the Lee County Agricultural Fair sponsored by the Lions Club. <br />Representatives of the press were requested to give publicity to the fact <br />that the Rescue Squad is a private organization and is 'a separate organization <br />from the County's ambulance service, to avoid confusion by people who thought <br />a County agency was soliciting funds to help maintain it when in fact the Rescue <br />Squad is a separate independent organization. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Jerry M. Almond, which motion was duly <br />seconded and unanimously adopted, it was resolved to commend Mr. Brewer <br />and the employees in the Maintenance Department for their work in fixing a <br />small business center for use by Central Carolina Technical College. <br />Commissioner Cox advised the Board that the Farm Bureau has a <br />representative who can review revaluation procedures when the Board desires <br />to consider such matter, <br />CHAIRMAN <br />NORTH CAROLINA, LEE COUNTY <br />Presenteed~foo re istratlon On tH Y <br />of10-O <br />recorded In ~~-~Aaea <br />Wad 1b.
