AC_ 42 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA Monday, September 8, 1986 v The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 9:30 o'clock a. m. , on Monday, the 8th day of September, 1986, in the Commissioners' Room on the second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Those present were Commissioners Jerry M. Almond; Raymond C. Cox, Jr.; John R. Dossenbach, Jr. ; John E. Dotterer; and Bertha L. Matthews. Chair- man John E. Dotterer declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was transacted: The invocation was given by Mr. Walter B. Hartman, Jr. , the County Manager. The draft of the minutes of the Special Meeting held on August 11, 1986, were considered by the Board. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the draft of the minutes of said meeting be adopted as the official minutes of said meeting and same be recorded. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote, the motion was unanimously adopted. The Chairman recognized Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., Chairman of the Board's Public Works Committee, for a report on the comm- ittee's activities. Commissioner Dossenbach reviewed the minutes of the two meetings that the committee had held since the Board's last meeting. Commissioner Dossenbach, in keeping with the recommendations of the Public Works Committee, moved that the low bid of R. W. Moore Equipment Co. , in the amount of $17, 416. 62, plus tax, for a backhoe to be used at the Landfill, be accepted. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. Commissioner Dossenbach, in accordance with the recommendations of the Public Works Committee, moved that the final plat of the B. M. Kelly Subdivision, Section II plat be approved. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted.
