AC_ 42 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF <br />COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, September 8, 1986 <br />v The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of <br />Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 9:30 o'clock a. m. , on Monday, the <br />8th day of September, 1986, in the Commissioners' Room on the second floor <br />of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. <br />Those present were Commissioners Jerry M. Almond; Raymond C. Cox, Jr.; <br />John R. Dossenbach, Jr. ; John E. Dotterer; and Bertha L. Matthews. Chair- <br />man John E. Dotterer declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the <br />transaction of business. <br />Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />The invocation was given by Mr. Walter B. Hartman, Jr. , the County <br />Manager. <br />The draft of the minutes of the Special Meeting held on August 11, 1986, <br />were considered by the Board. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that <br />the draft of the minutes of said meeting be adopted as the official minutes of <br />said meeting and same be recorded. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote, the motion was unanimously adopted. <br />The Chairman recognized Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., <br />Chairman of the Board's Public Works Committee, for a report on the comm- <br />ittee's activities. Commissioner Dossenbach reviewed the minutes of the two <br />meetings that the committee had held since the Board's last meeting. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach, in keeping with the recommendations of the <br />Public Works Committee, moved that the low bid of R. W. Moore Equipment <br />Co. , in the amount of $17, 416. 62, plus tax, for a backhoe to be used at the <br />Landfill, be accepted. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion <br />and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach, in accordance with the recommendations <br />of the Public Works Committee, moved that the final plat of the B. M. Kelly <br />Subdivision, Section II plat be approved. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />
