® Y <br />400? 12 ; 6~ <br />Commissioner Dossenbach, on behalf of the Public Works Committee, <br />moved that the road petition for Brookhaven Subdivision be approved and for- <br />warded to the Department of Transportation. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />On behalf of the Public Works Committee, Commissioner Dossenbach <br />recommended that the Board accept the proposal from IvIallins-Sherman for <br />retrofitting the County Parking deck on an hourly basis for a fee not to exceed <br />$7, 000. 00. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. was recognized for the report <br />and recommendations of the Human Resources Committee. On behalf of that <br />committee, Commissioner Dossenbach moved to recommend that the County <br />accept the offer of the Nautilus Club for discount membership fee to County <br />employees. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon <br />a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />On behalf of the Human Resources Committee, Commissioner Dossenbach <br />moved that the contract for legal services between the Department of Social <br />Services and Love & Wicker, be approved. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />On behalf of the Human Resources Committee, Commissioner Dossenbach <br />moved that Norma C. Bullard be appointed County Tax Supervisor. Commissioner <br />Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />On behalf of the Human Resources Committee, Commissioner Dossenbach <br />moved that Mr. Roy Gaines and Mr. R. L. Lemmond be appointed to the Local <br />Firemen's Relief Fund as representatives from the Northview Volunteer Fire <br />Department, and that Mr. Max Hall and Mr. Dan Parker be appointed to the same <br />body as representatives of the West Sanford Volunteer Fire Department. Comm- <br />issioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />Mrs. Norma C. Bullard appeared before the Board, took the required <br />oath of office and qualified as the County Tax Supervisor. A copy of her oath <br />is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. called the Board's attention <br />to the meeting of the Triangle J. Council of Government. <br />
