12 8z <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF <br />COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF <br />NORTH CAROLINA <br />Monday, November 3, 1986 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for <br />the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened at 9:30 <br />o'clock a.m., on Monday, November 3, 1986, in the <br />Commissioners' Room on the second floor of the County Office <br />Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina. Those <br />present were Commissioners Jerry M. Almond; Raymond C. Cox, <br />Jr.; John R. Dossenbach, Jr.; John E. Dotterer; and Bertha L. <br />Matthews. Chairman John E. Dotterer declared a quorum <br />present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. <br />Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following <br />business was transacted: <br />The invocation was given by Mr. Walter B. Hartman, Jr., <br />County Manager. <br />The draft of the minutes of the regular meeting held on <br />Monday, October 20, 1986, were considered by the Board. <br />Commissioner Jerry M. Almond moved that the draft of the <br />minutes of said meeting be adopted as the official minutes of <br />said meeting and same be recorded. Commissioner Raymond C. <br />Cox, Jr. seconded the motion and upon a vote, the motion was <br />unanimously adopted. <br />The Chairman recognized Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, <br />Jr., Chairman of the Public Works Committee, for a report on <br />the activities of the committee. <br />In keeping with the recommendations of the Public Works <br />Committee, Commissioner Dossenbach moved that the final plat <br />of the Winding Creek Farms Subdivision be approved. <br />Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion and upon a <br />vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach, in keeping with the <br />recommendations of the Public Works Committee, moved that the <br />engineering contract on the Community Development Block Grant <br />Program be awarded to Floyd Browne & Associates in the amount <br />of $13,500. Commissioner Jerry M. Almond seconded the motion <br />and upon a vote, it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach, in accordance with the <br />recommendations of the Public Works Committee, moved that the <br />county accept an offer to sell the Greenwood Water.S st m <br />with 128 users for an estimated payoff of approximate~y <br />
