008 <br />Lee County replied by certified mail dated May 25, 2011, again explaining their <br />responsibility to file an accurate listing. <br />Lee County also continued to correspond with their representative about the requirements <br />and conducted further research, obtaining lease agreements where possible from <br />businesses leasing units from Modular Space. <br />At the time of billing in July, an accurate list of property still had not been filed with Lee <br />County therefore bills were processed using the assessed values from the May 10, 2011 <br />discovery notification. <br />Modular Space filed an appeal of value and it was received in our office on August 22, <br />2011. Along with their appeal form, they also finally provided a list of units located in <br />Lee County. <br />On August 29, 2011, Lee County Collections received and processed payments from <br />Modular Space, while the bills were still under appeal. <br />Lee County communicated with the representative for Modular Space via email on <br />September 27, 2011, agreeing to adjust its assessed values and informed the <br />representative that a written request for refund should be made to Dwane Brinson, Tax <br />Administrator. <br />A written request for refund, dated September 29, 2011 was received by Dwane Brinson. <br />Upon receipt of the request for refund, the proper adjustments to the tax bills were <br />processed for refund. <br />
