oz 1?.:':: 130 <br />Commissioner Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote, <br />Commissioners Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews and Dotterer voted for approval. <br />Commissioner Wicker voted against approval. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach reported that the Public Works Committee <br />recommended that the tap on fee for the developers of Minter School Road <br />Estates to connect to the River Run - Lemon Springs Water line be set at <br />$25, 000. 00. Commissioner Wicker moved that the recommendation be <br />approved and accepted and adopted as the official act of the Board. Comm- <br />issioner Cox seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The Board took a short recess after which it resumed its meeting with <br />all members present. <br />The Chairman recognized Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews to give <br />the Finance Committee's recommendations. <br />Commissioner Matthews reported that the Tax Supervisor had requested <br />the transfer of $49, 000. 00 from the Revaluation Fund to the appropriation for the <br />Tax Supervisor's office to continue the revaluation program. Commissioner <br />Matthews, on behalf of the Finance Committee, moved that the request be <br />granted and that a budget amendment be prepared to accomplish such transfer. <br />Commissioner Cox seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously <br />adopted. <br />Commissioner Matthews reported that the First Presbyterian Church, <br />Sanford, North Carolina, had donated $500. 00 to Lee County Youth Services for <br />its THANKS Program to purchase children's clothing. The committee recomm- <br />ended that the donation be accepted and Commissioner Matthews moved that the <br />recommendation be approved and accepted and adopted as the official action <br />of the Board. Commissioner Cox seconded the motion and upon a vote it was <br />unanimously adopted. <br />The Board then discussed various matters such as the Emergency Medical <br />Service, computers at gas pumps, and the Youth Shelter, but did not take <br />formal action. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker distributed a letter he received from <br />Mr. Andrew Vanore, Chief Deputy Attorney General, to the effect that he <br />thought the correct interpretation of G. S. 153A-44, would permit a Commissioner <br />to abstain on a vote. <br />Upon motion made, seconded and unanimously adopted, it was resolved to <br />adjourn the meeting until 3:00 o'clock p. m., on Wednesday, January 7, 1987, to <br />reconvene in the Commissioners Room, Second Floor, County Office Building, <br />200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina.
