0 <br />°~oK 12 12 8 <br />Commissioner Dossenbach reported that the committee recommended <br />deleting the following options, totaling $7, 276. 00, namely: Retaining Wall <br />Water Proofing at $6, 676. 00; Seeding at $300. 00; and Weed Control at $300.00. <br />This would mean that DWC Contractors bid would be $129, 780. 00 and the <br />committee recommended that the low bid be accepted. Commissioner Dossen- <br />bach moved that the recommendation be approved and accepted and that the <br />proper county officials be authorized to enter into a contract with DWC <br />Contractors for such work at the price of $129, 780. 00. Commissioner Gordon <br />A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach reported that the Public Works Committee <br />had recommended that a used motor grader be purchased from federal surplus <br />property at the price of $5, 000. 00 for use at the landfill. Commissioner <br />Dossenbach moved that the recommendation be approved and accepted and that <br />a budget amendment, if one be necessary, be prepared to appropriate $5, 000. 00 <br />for such purpose and the appropriate County officials be authorized and directed <br />to purchase such equipment. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., seconded <br />the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Bobby Johnson, Supervisor of the Landfill, appeared before the <br />Board and stated that the motor grader presently being used and a rough terrain <br />front end loader would be surplus property and could be disposed of by the <br />Board. <br />Commissioner Dossenbach presented and read a resolution commending <br />the workers at the Landfill for their work during the Christmas Season. Comm- <br />issioner Dossenbach reported that the Public Works Committee recommended <br />that the resolution be adopted and a copy furnished to each employee at the Land- <br />fill. Accordingly, he moved that the Committee's recommendation be approved and <br />accepted and adopted as the official action of the Board. Commissioner Bertha L. <br />Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved the adoption of the following <br />resolution: <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee, desires to dispose of certain surplus personal property <br />of the County of Lee; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD <br />OF COMMISSIONERS, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1.
