12 133 <br />MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING OF THE <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, <br />STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />Thursday, January 8,1987 <br />The Adjourned Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners convened <br />on Thursday, January 8, 1987, at 3:00 o'clock p.m., in the Commissioners <br />Room, Second Floor, County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North <br />Carolina, the same being the time, date, and place specified in the motion of <br />adjournment. Those present were Commissioners Raymond C. Cox, Jr. ; <br />John R. Dossenbach, Jr. ; John E. Lotterer; Bertha L. Matthews; and Gordon <br />A. Wicker. The Chairman declared a quorum present and the meeting open <br />for the transaction of business. <br />Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., moved that the Board go into <br />executive session to discuss personnel matters. Commissioner Bertha L. <br />Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />The executive session was closed upon motion of Commissioner Bertha <br />L. Matthews, seconded by Commissioner Cox, which motion was unani- <br />mously adopted upon a vote. <br />Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., moved that the Chairman be <br />authorized to offer the position of County Manager to Mr. James Mills at an <br />annual salary of $39, 000. 00, to take office as soon as possible. Commissioner <br />Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote it was unanimously adopted. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, seconded by <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews, which motion was unanimously adopted upon <br />a vote, it was resolved to adjourn the meeting until 9:00 o'clock a.m., on Friday, <br />January 9, 1987, in the Commissioners Room, Second Floor, County Office <br />Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina.
