Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />the motion was unanimously adopted. <br />County Manager Jim Mills reviewed with the Board the budget process <br />schedule he had established, which is as follows: <br />March 24 Budget Request Forms Given to Dept. Heads <br />April 27, 28, 29, 30 Department Heads meet with County Manager to deliver <br />budget requests <br />May 18 School Board presents budget request to Board of County <br />Commissioners <br />June 1 Manager presents budget proposal to Board of Commissioners <br />June 3 Advertise for Public Hearing <br />June 15 Public Hearing on Proposed Budget <br />June 15,-30 Board of Commissioners Adopt Budget <br />The written expression of thanks from Irene White for allowing her to serve <br />on the Library Board was presented to the Board. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews presented to the Board, petitions from <br />persons living near and using Willett Road asking that the speed limit be reduced. <br />The Board directed that the petitions be directed to the appropriate division of the <br />Department of Transportation with the request that traffic surveys be made to <br />authorize a reduction in the speed limits. <br />There being no further business to come before the session, it was <br />adjourned sine die. <br />JOHN E.
