Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote the motion was unanimously adopted. <br />The Chairman brought up for consideration the request of Mr. Paul L. <br />Aderhold, Superintendent of Inspections, to proclaim the week of April 5-12, 1987, <br />as National Building Safety Week. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved the <br />adoption of the following: <br />PROCLAMATION <br />WHEREAS, the safety of our citizens is always of primary concern <br />to the Lee County Board of Commissioners; and <br />WHEREAS, the wide variety of health and safety services <br />provided by the Building Code Departments of Lee County and the <br />nation dramatically assists in providing safe work places, recreat- <br />ional areas, and homes to our citizens; and <br />WHEREAS, we recognize their combined efforts to make <br />buildings safe; and <br />WHEREAS, the week of April 5, 1987 through April 12, 1987 <br />has been declared National Building Safety Week by the nation and the <br />State of North Carolina; and <br />WHEREAS, we support building safety in all buildings; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT PROCLAIMED that the week of <br />April 5, 1987 through April 12, 1987 is hereby designated Building Safety . <br />Week. <br />
