Moore Company be accepted. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. , seconded the motion and upon a vote, the Motion was unanimously adopted. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., moved the adoption of the following resolution: RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO WORK PERIOD FOR LEE COUNTY EMPLOYEES WHEREAS, Lee County is a unit of general purpose local government, created by the legislature of the State of North Carolina, and as such, functions as a division of state government; and WHEREAS, both state and local governmental units are subject to the requirements of regulations and standards of the United States Government; and WHEREAS, in 1985, the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act extended its coverage to include state and local government employees; and WHEREAS, it is the intention of the Lee County Board of Commissioners to operate in compliance with the rules and regulations of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act of 1985, and subsequent amend- ments as they may be issued; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the LEE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS that the following work schedules shall apply to Lee County Employees effective April 1, 1987: SECTION 1. A.11 employees of the Lee County Emergency Medical Services shall observe as their official 7-day work cycle to begin at 6:00 a. m, on Monday and conclude at 6:00 a. m, the following Monday. E. F.
