Bu~:t 12 198 <br />Building for consideration by the Board. After discussion, Commissioner <br />John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , moved that the architects be authorized to advertise <br />for bids on the work to be done on the second, third, and fourth floors, the <br />mechanical work and the asbestos removal at the Human Resources Building. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote the <br />Commissioners voted as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews and Dotterer <br />NAY: Wicker <br />The Chairman ruled that the resolution was adopted by a majority <br />vote. <br />Mr. Leonard Barefoot, County Planner, appeared before the Board <br />and presented for consideration the following items, all of which had been <br />approved and recommended by the County Planning Board, namely: <br />(a) Road petition for McDaniel Drive, Pegg Street, and Cheshire Drive <br />in Breezewood Acres Subdivision asking that these roads be added to the DOT <br />priority list for paving; <br />(b) Approval of final plat of Suburban Acres Subdivision upon giving <br />of letter of credit to guarantee improvements and posting of funds to cover <br />developer's cost for paving streets; <br />(c) Approval of preliminary plat of Winding Creek Farms Subdivision, <br />Section IV subject to elimination of jogging trail from its proposed location shown on <br />the plat; <br />(d) Approval of the abbreviated final plat of the Walker Monroe <br />Matthews, Jr. Subdivision. <br />Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. , moved that the recommendations <br />of the Planning Board as set forth in the County Planners report to the County <br />Manager, dated May 1'.4, 1987, be approved and adopted on the action of the <br />Board. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote, it <br />was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , introduced and moved the <br />adoption of the following two resolutions which were read to the Board: <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMITTAL OF EDA TITLE I - <br />PUBLIC WORKS APPLICATION AND COMMITTING LOCAL FUNDS <br />WHEREAS, Lee County's economic development is hereby <br />curtailed due to the lack of water facilities to serve northern Lee <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS Lee County has been requested by GOLDEN POULTRY <br />COMPANY, INC, , to provide it water for its proposed $14, 000, 000(+) <br />poultry processing plant to be located in northern Lee County; and <br />
