21" <br />MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE <br />STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />Friday, June 26, 1987 <br />The adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for <br />the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners' <br />Room on the second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, <br />Sanford, North Carolina, on Friday, June 26, 1987, the same being the time, <br />place and date specified in the motion of adjournment. Those present were: <br />Commissioners Raymond C. Cox, Jr. ; John E. Dotterer; Bertha L. Matthews; <br />and Gordon A. Wicker. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. was absent. <br />The Chairman declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction <br />of business. <br />Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />The Reverend John Estes gave the invocation. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the Board hold a public <br />hearing on the budget. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. , seconded the motion <br />and upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Matthews, Wicker, and Dotterer <br />ABSENT: Dossenbach <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted and <br />declared the public hearing open. <br />Mr. Albert Adcock was recognized and he complained of the travel <br />appropriation and requested that the budget be cut. <br />No one else asked to be recognized and after a reasonable interval, <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the public hearing be closed. <br />
