• Bang 1?. ~3: <br />MINUTES OF THE ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE <br />COUNTY OF LEE <br />STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />Tuesday, June 30, 1987 <br />The adjourned regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the <br />County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners' Room, <br />on the second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North <br />Carolina, on Tuesday, June 30, 1987, the same being the time, date, and place <br />specified in the motion of adjournment. Those present were Commissioners Raymond <br />C. Cox, Jr. ; John R. Dossenbach, Jr. ; John E. Dotterer; and Gordon A. Wicker. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews was absent. The Chairman declared a quorum <br />present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. <br />Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />The invocation was given by K. R. Hoyle, County Attorney. <br />The Chairman reported that Mrs. Reggie Durham had sent the Board a note <br />expressing her appreciation for the reception held in her honor. <br />The Chairman delivered to the County Manager a letter from Mr. Bill Wilson <br />on behalf of the Mental Health Clinic. <br />The Chairman reported that the N. C. Department of Human Resources had <br />appointed Virginia Harrington to the Lee County Social Services Board for a term to <br />expire in 1990. <br />County Manager James Mills presented a resolution which incorporated <br />the recommendations made by Mr. Robert Nelson of the firm of Deloite, Haskins, and <br />Sells, CPA, Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. , moved the adoption of the <br />following resolution: <br />RESOLUTION REGARDING WATER SYSTEM INDEBTEDNESS <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners has authorized the <br />purchase of several water supply systems and the construction of elevated water <br />storage tanks and other appurtenances necessary to create a reliable water supply <br />
