Matthews moved that Mary Lou <br />Crissman be appointed to the Domiciliary Home Advisory <br />Committee, which motion was seconded by Commissicner Raymond <br />C. Cox, Jr., and upon a vote was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that Bryant Harris <br />and Terry Carraher be appointed to the Industrial Development <br />Corporation Board of Directors, which motion was seconded by <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., and upon a vote was <br />unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that Barbara <br />Keller and Dr. Barbara Howard be appointed to the Library <br />Board of Trustees, which motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Raymond C. Cox, Jr., and upon a vote was unanimously adopted. <br />The Board discussed the Personnel Board and the Private <br />Industry Council vacancies but no action was taken. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that Don Buie and <br />Ada James be appointed to the Recreation Commission, which <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., and <br />upon a vote was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that Alice Griffin <br />be appointed to the Senior Citizens Board, which motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews and upon a vote <br />was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that Freeman Worthy <br />be appointed to the Social Services Board, which motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews and upon a vote <br />was unanimously adopted. <br />The Board instructed the County Manager's office to <br />prepare the necessary Certificates of Appreciation for those <br />persons no longer serving for presentation at the July 20th <br />meeting and also instructed that all new appointees be <br />invited to attend the same meeting for a brief introductory <br />ceremony. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that the <br />Board rescind its previous action to appropriate $6,480 to <br />the Commissioner's budget for group insurance and that this <br />money be returned to the Emergency and Continency Fund, which <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews, and <br />upon a vote was unanimously adopted. <br />
