BOOK 12 PAGE 242 <br />amendment to the county's relocation policy which would allow <br />his office to use "last resort" procedures as necessary to <br />relocate individuals from the San-Lee Heights III Project <br />Area. Commissioner Raymond C. Jr., moved that this amendment <br />be approved which is attached to these minutes and by this <br />reference made a part hereof, seconded by Commissioner Bertha <br />L. Matthews, and upon a vote was unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Elwin Buchanan, Grants Administrator, also reported <br />on the negotiations and acceptance of offer with H.M. Jackson <br />to obtain an easement on property in the San-Lee Heights <br />Project Area and presented a Fair Market Value Resolution in <br />the amount of $1,088.00. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, <br />Jr. moved that the resolution be approved which is attached <br />to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof, <br />seconded by Commissioner Gordon A. wicker and upon a vote was <br />unanimously adopted. <br />County Manager, Jim Mills, presented for the Board's <br />consideration a Statement of Compliance and Contract for the <br />Department for the Aging's Respite Care Program with Region <br />"M" Council of Governments for the upcoming year. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the Statement of <br />Compliance and Contract be approved and that the-Chairman be <br />authorized to sign all necessary documents, which motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr., and upon a vote <br />was unanimously adopted. <br />County Manager, Jim Mills, presented a proclamation as <br />adoped by the Lee County Parks & Recreation Commission <br />pertaining to "July is National Recreation and Parks Month" <br />and "Life. Be in it." campaigns. Commissioner Bertha L. <br />Matthews moved that the Board endorse this proclamation, <br />which is attached to these minutes and by this reference made <br />a part hereof, which motion was seconded by Commissioner <br />Raymond C. Cox, Jr., and upon a vote was unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that Commissioner <br />John R. Dossenbach, Jr. be designated as the county's voting <br />delegate at the Association of County Commissioner's Annual <br />Conference in Charlotte on August_ 13-16, which motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Raymond C.-Cox, Jr. The Chairman <br />declared Commissioner Dossenbach appointed by acclamation. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the following <br />persons be reappointed to serve on various boards and <br />commissions, which motion was seconded by Commissioner John <br />R.
