J2 ? 268 The Chairman declared the motion had carried. The Chairman advised the Board that they needed to hold a public hearing for consideration of the matter of renaming of the street known as Cilco Way. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr, moved that the Board proceed to hold a public hearing on the matter. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Commissioners Raymond C. Cox, Jr., John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , John E. Dotterer, Bertha L. Matthews and Gordon A. Wicker. NAY: None The Chairman declared the motion had carried and that the meeting was open to hear all parties on the matter of the renaming of the street. After hearing Mr. Leonard Barefoot, the County Planner, present the request and affording all other persons to be heard, Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. moved that the public hearing be closed. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Commissioners Raymond C. Cox, Jr. , John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , John E. Dotterer, Bertha L. Matthews and Gordon A. Wicker. NAY: None The Chairman declared the public hearing closed and the meeting open for the transaction of business. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that Cilco Way be renamed as Oak Park Road. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Commissioners Raymond C. Cox, Jr. , John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , John E. Dotterer, Bertha L. Matthews and Gordon A. Wicker. NAY: None The Chairman declared the motion had carried and the street was renamed. Mr. Leonard Barefoot, County Planner, appeared before the Board and reviewed the monthly building permit report. Mr. Robert Purcell and Ms. Laurie Miles of Pacific Environmental Services appeared before the Board and presented a report on the bids taken on August 6, 1987 for the removal of asbestos from the old hospital building and their recommendations based on their analysis of the bids. Copy of the bids received and certified by Mr. Gary M. Tencer of Pacific Environmental Services is attached to these minutes and by this reference made a part hereof.
