RES TION PERTAI 'G TO RENO IONS <br />~"DTO THE OLD LEE COUNTY HOSPITAL BUILDING <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners on the <br />20th day of October, 1SE6, approved a project ordinance for <br />certain renovations to the old Lee County Hospital Building <br />and appropriated $2,000,000 for this purpose; and <br />WHEREAS, since October 20, 1986, architectural and <br />engineering work has progressed, and construction bids have <br />been received for the aforementioned renovations: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE LEE COUNTY BOARD <br />OF COMMISSIONERS as follows: <br />SECTION 1. THAT construction contracts be awarded as <br />follows: <br />(1) Centurion Construction Company, Raleigh, NC <br />General Construction - $943,200.00 <br />(2) Bolton Corporation, Raleigh, NC <br />(a) HVAC Construction 419,627.00 <br />(b) Electrical Construction 122,122.00 <br />(c) Plumbing Construction 83,085.00 <br />(3) Harriss & Moore, Inc., Durham, NC <br />Asbestos Removal 41,035.00 <br />SESTION 2. THAT funds be designated for architectural <br />services and engineering services as follows: <br />(1) O'Brien Atkins, Associates 126,135.00 <br />(2) Pacific Environmental <br />Services, Inc. (Estimate) 20,275.00 <br />SECTION 3. THAT Contingency reserves be designated as <br />follows: <br />(1) Construction Contingency 156,803.00 <br />(2) Project Contingency 87,718.00 <br />S=IQN 4. THAT the Lee County Manager be authorized to <br />approve Construction/Architectural/Engineering change orders <br />and provide the Board with copies at the next Board meeting. <br />SECTION 5. THAT the duration of the time period of the <br />above expenditures will be until the project has been <br />completed and accepted by the Lee County Board of <br />Commissioners, and all outstanding bills have been paid <br />relating to this project. <br />Adopted this 10th day of August, 1987. <br />John E.
