12 26'7 EGCx MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA Monday, August 10, 1987 v The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee, State of North Carolina, convened in the Commissioners' Room on the second floor of the County Cffice Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, on Monday, August 10, 1987, at 9:30 A. M. Those present were Commissioners Raymond C. Cox, Jr. ; John R. Dossenbach, Jr. ; John E. Dotterer; Bertha L. Matthews; and Gordon A. Wicker. The Chairman declared a quorum present and the meeting onen for the transaction of business. Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was transacted: The invocation was given by John R. Dossenbach, Jr. The draft of the minutes of the regular meeting held on Monday., July 20, 1987 was considered and Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the draft as presented be adopted as the official minutes of said meeting. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Commissioners Raymond C. Cox, Jr., John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , John E. Dotterer, Bertha L. Matthews and Gordon A. Wicker. NAY: None The Chairman declared the motion had carried and directed that the minutes be recorded. Mrs. Donnie Cox appeared before the Board on behalf of the Tax Collector's office and requested authority to file judgments for delinquent real estate taxes. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that the Tax Collector be authorized and directed to file judgments against property owners who have not paid delinquent property taxes. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Commissioners Raymond C. Cox, Jr., John R. Dossenbach, Jr. , John E. Dotterer, Bertha L. Matthews and Gordon A. Wicker. NAY: None
