Acoz V 30~, The County Manager presented for the Board's consideration contracts between Triangle J. Council of Government and Lee County dated July 1, 1987, as follows: (a) Contract for Social and Senior Center Services; (b) Contract for home delivered nutrition services; (c) Contract for congregate nutrition service; and (d) Contract for Respite Care Service. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that each of the foregoing described contracts be approved and the appropriate County officials be authorized to execute and deliver said contracts for and on behalf of the County. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. , seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker, and Dotterer. NAY: None. The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. The County Manager furnished each member with a copy of Chapter 538 of the Session Law of 1987 which authorizes Lee County to levy a room occupancy tax. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that the County Manager advertise for a public hearing on the levy of a room occupancy tax to be held on September 21, 1987. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and upon a vote, the results were as follows: AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer. NAY: None. The Chairman ruled the motion had been unanimously adopted. The County Manager presented Budget Amendment No. 3 which reflected revenue from Tar Heel League Baseball Championship and expenditures for the Tar Heel Baseball League. The Manager also presented Budget Amendment No. 4 which reflected donations for picnic shelter at Horton Park and DOT damages paid and donations received to be appropriated to park maintenance.
