Acoz V 30~, <br />The County Manager presented for the Board's consideration <br />contracts between Triangle J. Council of Government and Lee County dated July <br />1, 1987, as follows: <br />(a) Contract for Social and Senior Center Services; <br />(b) Contract for home delivered nutrition services; <br />(c) Contract for congregate nutrition service; and <br />(d) Contract for Respite Care Service. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that each of the <br />foregoing described contracts be approved and the appropriate County officials <br />be authorized to execute and deliver said contracts for and on behalf of the County. <br />Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. , seconded the motion and upon a vote the <br />results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker, and Dotterer. <br />NAY: None. <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been adopted unanimously. <br />The County Manager furnished each member with a copy of Chapter <br />538 of the Session Law of 1987 which authorizes Lee County to levy a room <br />occupancy tax. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that the <br />County Manager advertise for a public hearing on the levy of a room occupancy <br />tax to be held on September 21, 1987. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded <br />the motion and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer. <br />NAY: None. <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been unanimously adopted. <br />The County Manager presented Budget Amendment No. 3 which <br />reflected revenue from Tar Heel League Baseball Championship and expenditures <br />for the Tar Heel Baseball League. The Manager also presented Budget Amendment <br />No. 4 which reflected donations for picnic shelter at Horton Park and DOT <br />damages paid and donations received to be appropriated to park maintenance. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that Budget Amendment No. 3 as follows: <br />
