Ec~ K 12 "lu 307 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 21, 1987 4 The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County of Lee convened in the Commissioners' Room on the second floor of the County Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, on Monday, September 21, 1987, at 7:00 o'clock P. M. Those present were Commissioners Raymond C. Cox, Jr. ; John R. Dossenbach, Jr. ; John E. Dotterer; Bertha L. Matthews; and Gordon A. Wicker. All of the Commissioners were present and the Chairman declared a quorum present and the meeting open for the transaction of business. Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was transacted: Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker gave the invocation. The draft of the minutes of the regular meeting held on Tuesday, September 8, 1987, were reviewed and considered. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved the draft be approved and adopted as the official minutes and be recorded. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr, seconded the motion, and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer. NAY: None. The Chairman ruled the motion had been unanimously adopted. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. moved that the Board hold a public hearing on the question of whether or not an occupancy tax should be levied and collected in Lee County. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer. ' NAY: None.
