1~ 328 <br />n <br />seconded the motion and upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled that the Resolution had been unanimously <br />adopted. <br />Mrs. Norma Bullard, County Tax Supervisor appeared before the <br />Board concerning the amendment or the adoption of the Land Use Values Schedule. <br />The matter was discussed following which Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. <br />moved that the Land Use Value Schedule as prepared by the Tax Supervisor's <br />Department and submitted to the Board at its October 5th, 1987, meeting be adopted <br />for use in Lee County. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion and <br />upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled that the motion was unanimously adopted. <br />The Chairman called on Mr. Cox for a report of the General <br />Government Committee. Mr. Cox reported that the General Government Committee <br />had recommended forwarding the Health Director's response to the Humane <br />Society's request to the Board for study; however, since the material had been <br />furnished in the agenda, he moved that: <br />1) The $100. 00 per month payment to the Humane Society be <br />reinstated; <br />2) Emergency calls responded to by the county at public expense <br />should be defined as situations which endanger people involving animals. Emergencies <br />involving sick or injured animals should be handled by the Humane Society using <br />the donated time and expenses of volunteers; <br />3) The 51o increase is part of the contract between the County and <br />the Humane Society. It should be paid if the contract is continued. <br />With respect to the County's arrangement with the Humane Society, <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr., seconded the motion, and upon a vote the <br />results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer. <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the motion had been unanimously a dopted . <br />
