C) dope 12 P9£ 333 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />MONDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 1987 <br />11 It <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee convened in the Commissioners' Room on the second floor of the County <br />Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, on Monday, <br />November 2, 1987, at 9:30 o'clock A. M. Those present were: Commissioners <br />Raymond C. Cox, Jr. ; John R. Dossenbach, Jr. ; John E. Dotterer; Bertha L. <br />Matthews and Gordon A. Wicker. The Chairman declared a quorum present and <br />the meeting open for the transaction of business. <br />transacted: <br />Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was <br />The invocation was given by Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. <br />The draft of the minutes of the regular meeting held on October 19, <br />1987 were reviewed and considered. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that <br />the draft be adopted as the official minutes and recorded. Commissioner Raymond <br />C. Cox, Jr. , seconded the motion and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />.AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled that the resolution had been unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. Lawrence Simpson appeared before the Board in his capacity as <br />Chairman of Farm-City Week for Lee County. Mr. Simpson reviewed the purpose <br />and history of Farm-City Week celebration and the activities planned for this <br />year. Mr. Simpson then read and presented the Board a Proclamation designating <br />the week of November 20 - 26th, 1987, as Farm-City Week in Lee County. <br />Commissioner Raymond C.
