Dossenbach, Jr., seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled that the Resolution had been unanimously adopted. <br />The Board directed that a suitable Resolution be prepared for <br />presentation to Mr. O. B. Stokes at the dinner honoring his retirement as Manager <br />of the City of Sanford. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that the Board have <br />a certificate prepared commending the football team at Lee Senior High during this <br />season and that same be prepared for presentation prior to their next game. <br />Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. seconded the motion and upon a vote the <br />results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled that the Resolution had been unanimously adopted. <br />Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. requested that investigation be <br />made as to the feasibility of placing a trash container in the acreage at the rear of <br />Deep River School. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker brought up for consideration re- <br />districting the County both for the County Commissioners and for the school <br />board's election, also for the establishment of water districts. No formal action <br />was taken. <br />There were discussions concerning breakins at the Youth Center. No <br />formal action was taken. <br />The Chairman requested the Board's pleasure regarding gifts to <br />County employees at Christmas. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that <br />all employees be given a fruit basket. There was no second. After a reasonable time <br />the Chairman ruled the motion died for lack of a second. Commissioner John <br />R. Dossenbach, Jr, moved that the County observe the same practice that it had <br />followed last Christmas, that is, giving a $15. 00 check to each employee which <br />could be cashed at any grocery store in Lee County.
