R. R. Hoyle, Clerk <br />John E. serer, Chairman <br />Moo. 12 354 <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews made a motion to adopt this <br />budget amendment. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. seconded <br />the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker, and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled that the budget amendment had been <br />approved by unanimous vote. <br />Mr. Jim Mills, County Manager, made a recommendation to sell <br />two surplus county vehicles which are: <br />1 - 1982 White RX2 Front Load Garbage Truck <br />1 - 1980 Dodge Van (Dept. for the Aging) <br />These vehicles will be sold by the Sealed Bid Process. <br />After a question and discussion session, a motion was made <br />by Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews to authorize the disposal of <br />these two vehicles. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker, and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled that the decision to dispose of above <br />mentioned vehicles was reached by unanimous vote. <br />Tax Releases were the next item on the agenda. A motion was <br />made by Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. to approve tax <br />releases subject to the fact that there are no outstanding taxes <br />owed by the tax payer who would be receiving a refund. The motion <br />to approve tax releases on this contingency basis was seconded by <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker, and upon a vote, the results were <br />as follows: <br />AYE: Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker, and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled that this policy was adopted by unanimous <br />vote. <br />Mr. Jim Mills, County Manager, presented several items to <br />the Board. The first item pertained to filing a preliminary grant <br />application for 1988 land and water conservation funds for <br />Buchanan Park II. A request from Don McLaughlin, Lee County Parks <br />and Recreation Director had been presented for this action. <br />Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that authorization be granted. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote, the results were as follows: <br />
