Commissioners have 01refoot, y ideas, to please pass t fpm on. Mr. Leonard County Planner, pr ented the''m of the final plat of Phase 1 of the Lake Villanow subdivision. The developer for the subdivision is Rex Brown who was present and spoke briefly. The subdivision is divided into 37 building lots. A letter-of-credit in the amount of $75,000 will be necessary to guarantee the approximately 4,000 linear feet of street improvements. Also, approval will be subject to the County Sanitarian's Certification as to sewage disposal. The Planning Board has reviewed this final plat and recommends its approval with the above stipulations. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker made a motion to accept the Planning Board's recommendation as stipulated. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: AYE: Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer NAY: None The Chairman declared the motion passed with the stated stipulations being included. Mr. Barefoot informed the Board of Commissioners that the Planning Board would not be meeting during the month of December, 1987. Mr. Elwin Buchanan, Economic Development Director, presented a Resolution of acceptance of a grant offer con- tained herein. This grant is for the construction of a 12- inch water line to connect the Cumnock Area Water Plant to the present Lee County Water System near Tramway. The Resolution presented is as follows: RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF LEE COUNTY CONCERNING ACCEPTANCE OF THE GRANT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A 12-INCH WATERLINE FROM THE CUMNOCK AREA WATER PLANT AND TANK TO CONNECT WITH THE PRESENT WATER SYSTEM AT THE INTERSECTION OF PENDERGRASS ROAD AND US HIGHWAY #1, NRCD PROJECT #87-C-7569 WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Lee County has deter- mined it to be to the best interest of the citizens of Lee County to provide for the design and construction of a 12- inch waterline from the Cumnock Area Water Plant and tank to connect with the present water system at the intersection of Pendergrass Road and US Highway #1 in Tramway, and WHEREAS, Lee County has applied to the Division of Natural Resources and Community Development for a program grant to assist with the construction and implementation of this waterline from the Cumnock Area to the intersection of Pendergrass Road and US Highway #1, NRCD Project #87-C-7569, and WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Natural Resources and Community Development (NRCD) has offered a Grant through its authority under the State Division of Community Assis- tance, in the amount of $750,000 to be matched with $800,000 Economic Development Administration and with $50,000 in funds
