Commissioners have 01refoot, y ideas, to please pass t fpm on. <br />Mr. Leonard County Planner, pr ented the''m <br />of the final plat of Phase 1 of the Lake Villanow <br />subdivision. The developer for the subdivision is Rex Brown <br />who was present and spoke briefly. The subdivision is <br />divided into 37 building lots. A letter-of-credit in the <br />amount of $75,000 will be necessary to guarantee the <br />approximately 4,000 linear feet of street improvements. <br />Also, approval will be subject to the County Sanitarian's <br />Certification as to sewage disposal. The Planning Board has <br />reviewed this final plat and recommends its approval with the <br />above stipulations. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker made a <br />motion to accept the Planning Board's recommendation as <br />stipulated. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the <br />motion, and upon a vote, the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman declared the motion passed with the stated <br />stipulations being included. <br />Mr. Barefoot informed the Board of Commissioners that <br />the Planning Board would not be meeting during the month of <br />December, 1987. <br />Mr. Elwin Buchanan, Economic Development Director, <br />presented a Resolution of acceptance of a grant offer con- <br />tained herein. This grant is for the construction of a 12- <br />inch water line to connect the Cumnock Area Water Plant to <br />the present Lee County Water System near Tramway. The <br />Resolution presented is as follows: <br />RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF LEE COUNTY <br />CONCERNING ACCEPTANCE OF THE GRANT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF A <br />12-INCH WATERLINE FROM THE CUMNOCK AREA WATER PLANT AND TANK TO <br />CONNECT WITH THE PRESENT WATER SYSTEM AT THE INTERSECTION OF <br />PENDERGRASS ROAD AND US HIGHWAY #1, NRCD PROJECT #87-C-7569 <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners of Lee County has deter- <br />mined it to be to the best interest of the citizens of Lee <br />County to provide for the design and construction of a 12- <br />inch waterline from the Cumnock Area Water Plant and tank to <br />connect with the present water system at the intersection of <br />Pendergrass Road and US Highway #1 in Tramway, and <br />WHEREAS, Lee County has applied to the Division of Natural <br />Resources and Community Development for a program grant to <br />assist with the construction and implementation of this <br />waterline from the Cumnock Area to the intersection of <br />Pendergrass Road and US Highway #1, NRCD Project #87-C-7569, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the North Carolina Department of Natural Resources <br />and Community Development (NRCD) has offered a Grant through <br />its authority under the State Division of Community Assis- <br />tance, in the amount of $750,000 to be matched with $800,000 <br />Economic Development Administration and with $50,000 in funds <br />
