2 36 <br />eons 1 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING <br />OF <br />THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />FOR <br />THE COUNTY OF LEE, STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA <br />TUESDAY, JANUARY 19, 1988 <br />The regular meeting of the Board of Commissioners for the County <br />of Lee convened in the Commissioners' Room on the second floor of the County <br />Office Building, 200 Wicker Street, Sanford, North Carolina, on Tuesday, <br />January 19th, 1988, at 7:30 P. M. Monday, January 18th was a holiday, therefore, <br />the regular meeting was held on the next succeeding day pursuant to statute. <br />Those present were: Commissioners Raymond C. Cox, Jr. ; John R. Dossenbach, <br />Jr. , John E. Dotterer, Bertha L. Matthews and Gordon A. Wicker. <br />The Chairman declared a quorum present and the meeting open for <br />the transaction of business. <br />Chairman John E. Dotterer presided and the following business was <br />transacted: <br />The invocation was given by County Attorney K. R. Hoyle. <br />The draft of the minutes of the regular meeting held on Monday, <br />January 4, 1988, were reviewed and considered. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews <br />moved that the draft be adopted as the official minutes and recorded. Commissioner <br />Raymond C. Cox, Jr, seconded the motion, and upon a vote the results were as <br />follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer. <br />NAY: None. <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted and <br />ordered that the minutes be recorded. <br />The Chairman announced that the Board had advertised for a public <br />hearing on the advisability of the Wake Stone quarry project and the issuance of <br />revenue bonds to finance the project. Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. <br />moved the Board proceed to hold a public hearing. Commissioner Bertha L. <br />Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote the results were as follows: <br />
