The funds for the increase came <br />from the State Maintenance Funds. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved the <br />adoption of the following Resolution: <br />WHEREAS, the Lee County Board of Commissioners provide <br />certain local funds to be combined with state funds and other funds to <br />underwrite the annual cost of the operation of Central Carolina Community <br />College; and <br />WHEREAS, the annual budget process provides forecasts and estimates <br />of certain costs; and <br />WHEREAS, during each fiscal year it becomes necessary to make <br />adjustments in budgetary forecasts and estimates to certain expense <br />categories to bring them in line with actual expenditures; and <br />WHEREAS, a request has been received by Lee County from <br />Central Carolina Community College to increase the 1987-88 local <br />budget by $29, 500, said funds to be provided from State maintenance funds; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it i s the desire of the Lee County Board of Commissioners <br />to cooperate with Central Carolina Community College in matters of this <br />nature; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the LEE COUNTY BOARD <br />OF COMMISSIONERS that the requested increase in the Central Carolina <br />Community College local budget by $29, 500 be approvi ed, said increased <br />funding'to be provided from State maintenance funds. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the appropriate officials with Central <br />Carolina Community College be provided with a copy of this resolution. <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion and upon a vote <br />the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been adopted unanimously. <br />
