Y2 - 40 <br />n <br />L.P. control of its cable television fran- <br />chise pursuant to an Ordinance, ("Ordi- <br />nance") to operate a cable television system <br />within the County of Lee, North Carolina. <br />For itself, its successors and assigns, <br />Insight Communications Company, L.P. hereby <br />accepts the Ordinance and agrees to be bound <br />by all of its terms, conditions and provi- <br />sions as to all obligations and liabilities <br />accruing from and after the effective date of <br />transfer." <br />Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. , seconded the motion, and upon a <br />vote the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted. <br />Mr. John Hall, Agricultural Extension Chairman, appeared before the <br />Board and requested approval to employ Mr. David Dycus as an Associate <br />Agricultural Extension Agent, effective as of April 1, 1988. After discussion, <br />Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews moved that the Board approve the appointment <br />of David Dycus as an Associate Agricultural Extension Agent effective April 1, <br />1988. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker seconded the motion. Upon a vote the <br />results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the resolution had been unanimously adopted. <br />Dr. Marvin R. Joyner, President of Central Carolina Community College, <br />appeared before the Board and reported that the College Trustees had accepted bids <br />on their new nursing building on March 1, 1988. The College Board of Trustees, on <br />March 9, 1988, adopted a Resolution requesting authorization of the Board of <br />County Commissioners to increase the nursing building construction budget $43, 241. 00, <br />and to obtain the funds from additional State maintenance funds accumulated this <br />fiscal year. Dr. Joyner stated that no additional cash outlay would be required from <br />the County. Commissioner Gordon A. Wicker moved that the Board approve the <br />transfer of the $43, 241. 00 from State maintenance funds to the local operation of <br />the nursing building project as requested by the Board of Trustees of Central <br />Carolina Community College.
