0 0 <br />141.1 <br />The Chairman declared the Resolution unanimously adopted. <br />Mr.Donn Gunderson appeared before the Board concerning the temporary <br />emergency food assistance program. Mr. Gunderson reviewed the program and <br />when the various supplies of foodstuffs or commodities were expected to be <br />exhausted and recommended to the Board that they continue the present distri- <br />bution rates which may have the effect of terminating the distribution of all <br />but three products by September of 1988. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. moved that the recommendation <br />of the Director of Social Services be accepted and that the Board continue on the <br />present distribution rates for the temporary emergency food assistance program <br />which may mean terminating distribution of all but three products by September of <br />1988. Commissioner Bertha L. Matthews seconded the motion, and upon a vote <br />the results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews, Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman declared the Resolution had been unanimously adopted. <br />The Board next considered the releases and refunds report as submitted <br />by the Tax Supervisor, copies of which are attached to this and by this reference <br />incorporated herein. Commissioner Raymond C. Cox, Jr. moved that the releases <br />and refunds as listed by the Tax Supervisor's office be approved and authorized. <br />Commissioner John R. Dossenbach, Jr. seconded the motion. Upon a vote the <br />results were as follows: <br />AYE: Cox, Dossenbach, Matthews,Wicker and Dotterer <br />NAY: None <br />The Chairman ruled the Resolution had been unanimously adopted. <br />Van R. Groce, a local realtor, was recognized for comments pertaining <br />to the property revaluation process. Mr. Croce was critical of the revaluation <br />program and included in his remarks the old hospital building, the water system, <br />the building program in general, the jail and the land use plan. <br />Mr. William L. Connolly of the State Department of Revenue spoke to the <br />Board at the request of the County Manager. Mr. Connolly stated that the Department <br />of Revenue had conducted a rambling, sampling of the sales in Lee County, and <br />based upon that had rated the County's reappraisal 100% level , and in his opinion <br />was within the range of 10- 15% of those in the State who had revalued. <br />
